Sun Recognised Stickfish as its Partner of the Year 2007

Sun Microsystems recognised Stickfish, s. r. o. with its Partner of the Year 2007 award for the sale of Sun x64 systems.

Prague, October 29 2007 - Stickfish received the Partner of the Year 2004 award from Sun Microsystems for the sale of Sun x64 servers. “Our company has experience growth since 2002. this year we will have a turnover of 12 million from Sun technologies alone. Most of our revenue comes from sales and technology services,” said Filip Korbel, a Stickfish, s. r. o., representative.

The x64 server line with AMD Opteron and the new Intel Xeon quad-core CPUs starts at CZK 19 000. The server supports all types of operating systems. All Sun x64 servers are equipped with the Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) service processor which provides administration, monitoring, and controlling functions and simplifies administration of large numbers of servers in the datacentre. The servers are most often purchased by customers from the following areas: education, science, research, and small and medium sized businesses.

According to Mr. Korbel, the number of customers from all areas of the company's activities is ever growing. On top of that the company's portfolio has just been extended by a virtual desktop solution Raydesk which necessitated the hiring of new employees and moving the entire company to bigger offices. The company's most recent deployment of the Raydesk desktop solution has seen it installed for thirty users at ČEPS, a. s.
