Raydesk: New Virtual Desktop Solution at Invex
Stickfish, s. r. o., will introduce a new desktop solution called Raydesk at the Invex fair. Raydesk allows government institutions and companies to lower their hardware and local network administration costs by up to 75%.
Prague, October 22 2007 – The Raydesk systém is run on a remote server using its power. In case the administrator needs to boost the performance of user workstations they only need to upgrade the server hardware.
The solution also improves security – for example, the employees cannot install any programmes on their computers (games, films, and illegal software). It is also possible to make several different applications from various operating systems available. The users can use programmes from the following operating systems at the same time: MS Windows, Linux, UNIX, AS400, QNX, and many others.
The Raydesk virtual desktop solution has been deployed, for example, at the State Environmental Fund or at ČEPS, a. s., a company responsible for the operation and development of the Czech Republic's transmission system. The solution is also used by the employees of the Occupational Safety Research Institute. Presentations will take place at the Sun booth (no. 42A, pavillion V) every day at 11.10 and 15.10.
