Stickfish acquired Linux portal AbcLinuxu

Stickfish, Ltd., company offering solutions based mainly on Sun's Unix platform, acquired Internet portal AbcLinuxu.cz, including a hundred per cent share in AbcLinuxu, Ltd.

his is a merge of two relatively young companies. Both have, however, managed to create a positive image already. This merge, apart from bringing an Internet portal www.abclinuxu.cz – popular for its lively discussions of Linux users' everyday problems, and its extensive information base – enriches Stickfish service portfolio by a new dimension. Solutions based on Linux – AbcLinuxu's team domain – provide a suitable supplement to established products, and allow for reaching to a wider range of potential customers.

The scale and speed of Linux adoption these days is caused not only by its dynamic development that is being supported by companies of big names, such as IBM, Sun, or Novell, it is chiefly a matter of maturity that can be likened to that of Unix systems whose history is significantly longer. And it is this maturity of both system and application solutions that ensures basic values with which a quality and secure IT infrastructure can be implemented: stability and security.

After AbcLinuxu acquisition, Stickfish offers:

  • Development and deployment of applications based on classic Unix systems on the Sun platform.
  • Complex services to satisfy hardware and software requirements of specific IS/IT infrastructure projects.
  • Professional deployment and securing of Linux solutions in medium to large organizations.
