TPCA starts with promotion on the web

In September 2002, building of a new factory of the Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech (TPCA) car manufacturer commenced in Kolín. The new factory is to be put into operation in the beginning of 2005.

Up until now, the company has not been doing any marketing or promotion in the Czech Republic. The newly launched Internet pages by Stickfish are the first such activity of TPCA.
The presentation provides information about the project's start, it describes TPCA concept, and reveals many things from the car manufacturer's future plans. One of the more attractive parts of the web presentation is a gallery of pictures of the future factory's 3D model.
"At this point in development of the factory, the foremost priority is to find experienced employees, and to build a positive image of the plant in the eyes of local population. TPCA is attempting to create a modern, ecology-aware plant, that would be nice to work at. A web presentation is an ideal tool for communication of this message." said Vítězslav Válka, director of Stickfish, about the web pages' main goal.
First employees will be hired in 2003, and the final count is expected to reach 3 000 persons. General training, including schooling according to TPS principles, will either take place on site, or in Japan. Particular profession training will take place on site both before and after production start.

The factory's annual production capacity will amount to 300 thousand cars intended for European markets. Out of this number, 200 thousand will be of the Peugeot and Citroën brand. Toyotas will make up the last third of production. Production is set to start by the end of 2005.
