The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) has deployed the latest version of the VMware View 4.5 virtual desktop environment. The entire project was realized by Stickfish, the specialist on VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) technologies. Desktop virtualization offers significantly better security in comparison to regular PCs.

Stickfish, the leading supplier of virtual desktop solutions, has delivered an order of 15 special ultra-thin Sun Rau 3i clients to Slovak National Centre for Human Rights. The delivery includes a complete implementation of the thin clients and server-side software installation.

Prague 19 August 2010 – Stickfish, the VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) technology specialist, implemented the new version of the  Raydesk 3.0 multiplatform virtual desktop environment for Pragoprojekt. Desktop virtualisation at Pragoprojekt will lower the costs of operation and user administration as compared to classic PC's.

Stickfish, specialising in ICT and VDI technology supplies, has secured an order for an HPC cluster worth EUR 160 000 for the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Comenius University in Bratislava.

It brings improvements in system functionality and a significantly better user experience. One of the new functions is, for example, the Menu Driven Desktop which enables users to drag & drop menu items to the desktop or to a designated area on the panel.

The growth in turnover and revenue of all Stickfish divisions is seen as particularly favourable in the time of a financial crisis which has gripped the Czech market last year.

Prague, December 16, 2009 - Stickfish, specialising in VDI technologies, sucessfully finalised the delivery of terminal solutions based on Sun Ray 2s for all cash registers in Datart stores. Overall, Datart took delivery of 700 pieces in all of its Czech and Slovak stores.

Stickfish, a company specialising in Linux and UNIX technologies, supplied a terminal solution built on the Sun Ray 2 thin clients for cash registers of the Datart stores. 70 pieces were delivered for six stores during the first phase, with 700 pieces overall planned for all Czech and Slovak stores.

Prague, November 6 2008 – Stickfish, s. r. o., supplied stores of the consumer electronics chain Datartu with a terminal solution based on the Sun Ray 2 thin clients. 70 pieces were supplied as a part of the pilot project, with 700 pieces overall planned for all Czech and Slovak stores.

The biggest Czech Linux portal, AbcLinuxu.cz, along with its operator, the Stickfish company, reimbursed a user for a MS Windows Vista Business OEM license in Lenovo ČR's stead. The paid amount is the same the manufacturer had offered for returning the license in accordance with the EULA of the Windows Vista Business OEM software that was supplied with the Lenovo laptop. However, Lenovo ČR required a non-disclosure agreement to be signed that would cover the entire negotiations with the company and its results for the compensation to be effected.

Soft-tronik representatives presented its best business partners with plaques recognising sale figures from 2007. One of the awarded companies was Stickfish for its retail results with the Sun x64 servers.

Sun Microsystems recognised Stickfish, s. r. o. with its Partner of the Year 2007 award for the sale of Sun x64 systems.

Stickfish, s. r. o., will introduce a new desktop solution called Raydesk at the Invex fair. Raydesk allows government institutions and companies to lower their hardware and local network administration costs by up to 75%.

Stickfish s.r.o. (in cooperation with Sun Microsystems Czech) announced its program and schedule for the 15th INVEX - the communication and information technology fair. Among the highlights of the Stickfish booth will be new servers and workstations from Sun, a powerful graphical desktop for thin clients, fully localized for Czech users, a new Linux liveCD, and special deals for selected products.

We are pleased to announce a brand new portal that will focus on promoting Linux in commercial environment. The aim of LinuxBIZ is to assist with spreading Linux in companies and government organizations.

In November of 2004, visitors spent more than half a million minutes on the AbcLinuxu.cz portal (iAudit statistics). We recorded 64,621 unique visits which means an increase by 19 per cent. Fo the first time ever, we were the most visited Linux portal in the .cz domain. That means we overtook the longtime leader - ROOT.cz.

Stickfish, Ltd., company offering solutions based mainly on Sun's Unix platform, acquired Internet portal AbcLinuxu.cz, including a hundred per cent share in AbcLinuxu, Ltd.

In September 2002, building of a new factory of the Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech (TPCA) car manufacturer commenced in Kolín. The new factory is to be put into operation in the beginning of 2005.

On November 13, 2002, Stickfish, Ltd. was officially founded. The company came into being by combining activities of the unixshop.cz and hi-web.cz projects.
